Don Harkins was an inspiration for me to start The Sovereign Newspaper here in the New York City area. I only knew him for a short time, but he gave me so much encouragement, referrals and wisdom- that he will *NEVER* be forgotten! Don knew the importance of keeping a traditional Opposition Press Newspaper in operation in our digital/internet age. He will be sadly missed by many. To all the readers and friends of the Idaho Observer, I'd like to end this post with a quote from Charles Dickens and another from Thomas Jefferson. I think Don would like them both. "Of all the inventions, of all discoveries in science and art; of all the great results in the wonderful progress of mechanical energy and skill; the PRINTING PRESS is the only product of civilization necessary to the existence of free man." -Charles Dickens "If I had to choose between government without newspapers, and newspapers without government, I wouldn't hesitate to choose the latter." - Thomas Jefferson

In loving memory offounder and editor-in-chief, Don Harkins
